Monty Mason is an effective Senator

Before being elected into the State Senate in 2016, Monty served two terms in the Virginia House of Delegates representing Virginia’s 93rd House District. From his first day in office, Monty has been working diligently to better the lives of all Virginians, especially vulnerable communities like children, seniors, veterans, and the mentally ill.

Monty’s advocacy has delivered real results for families across the district—like successfully bringing the offshore wind industry to Virginia, securing millions in state tuition assistance for National Guard Members, and expanding the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel.

In the State Senate, Monty serves on the Commerce and Labor Committee, Privileges and Elections Committee, Rehabilitation and Social Services Committee, Agriculture, Conservation, and Natural Resources Committee, and the General Laws and Technology Committee.

Monty also serves as Virginia’s legislative representative to the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission, and was appointed to the Jamestown Yorktown Foundation. He was reappointed to the Hampton Roads Transportation Accountability Commission, the State Executive Council to the Office of Children’s Services, and the State Water Commission.
